Leaf Teapot

Pottery is stoneware, red or white clay, fired to cone 6 in electric kiln. Glazes are hand-mixed and are all lead-free and food safe. Pottery is wheel-thrown using Japanese technique "throwing off the hump". Each production piece is crafted individually using hand made tools, cut off with a string, and left to dry. The following day the pieces are ready to trim. The bottoms of the pieces are carefully footed to create a light and finished look.

Each piece of pottery is thrown by hand, so that minor variations in size and detail give each set of pottery its distinct artisan-crafted appeal. *Pottery is dishwasher safe and non-toxic.
